As i have got older i have noticed that i rest during injury and during pregnancy and this means i am never tiring from martial arts, i never feel burnt out any more because i seemed to have found that balance. I suggest you begin training again and you will eventually find that balance that will see you return to the person you are meant to be.
Good luck
I didn't really lose passion but life just caught up and I became too busy with things around me.Join back if you can.
You should not regret there are some parts you can still practice on your own like forms. Or punch the bag and hitting pads.
I say to you that you better continue it on your own again but from the basics.
I did Martial Arts for 6 years, particularly Kyokushin Karate. I started when I was 12, because I was being bullied. Martial Arts changed my whole life, and I'll never forget the impact it had on my life.
I got my black belt 1st dan after 4 years, and competed as a black belt for 2 years. I was one of the best at my school, and I was very confident and positive in everything I did. I was much happier before.
It's been 1 year since I've left. In school I've been ditching a lot. Getting into some fights, playing with cigs and such. No drugs im not that stupid. But when I did Martial Arts, I minded my own business and was quite the humble guy.
I'm still very humble and respectful but much more aggressive. When I did Martial arts I wanted to be a master and have my own school. Then on my last championship I got second place, I fought someone from Japan which I was honored too but he was a whole different league. I held my own and did pretty well and gained positive recognition from everyone watching, saying I did well despite the circumstances.
A few months after that I suddenly lost my passion for martial arts. I just lost it. I said maybe if I did something different I'd be happier with Martial Arts, so I took Muay Thai for 6 months but I actually didn't like it at all. It felt like a fight club more than anything, I enjoy fighting but Kyokushin had a in depth spiritual touch to it to me.
I know I'm done with Martial Arts, I'm just skeptical. Thoughts?
