Does height matter when batting in Baseball?

I'm just about 5'11, 236 pounds. I want to know if height has anything to do with it? Or does it come down to something else?

No. It comes down to something else. Trust me.

Height matters only if the batter is a foot shorter then you are. He'll draw many more walks. Bill Veeck, the owner of the St. Louis Browns (who became the Baltimore Orioles in 1954) once hired a very short man at 4'11 to go up to the plate to walk. That was the batters only job, to walk. A shorter man has a much shorter strike zone. BTW, the Army loves these short guys, they make much smaller targets in a war.

Joe Morgan was 5 ' 7 ", so the answer is ' no ' .

A taller player has a bigger strike zone, but that's really it
