There should give out medals for lower ranks (lower than 3rd) so, 4th or 5th because everyone is fighting for the gold medal. But it doesn't hurt to get a silver or a bronze

I understand what you are saying, but at the moment Norway are top of the medal standing. It may come down to silver or bronze to decide who are top.

I'd be a lot more likely to take your opinion seriously if you knew the difference between "metal" and "medal".

In Olympic Games you go for the GOLD! No one wants a silver metal. People in team sports like hockey, basketball, and football (soccer) should not be given metals for losing. I bet they don't want them anyway. I know I wouldn't keep any metal that wasn't gold. It would go directly in the nearest garbage can. And it is extremely dumb to have a game for a third place bronze metal. I would refuse to even participate in such a pointless event.
