i really want to become a black belt but im a red belt in shito ryu karate

Black belt in Japan and Okinawa is the beginning of your training. It is a big step to become a black belt, but only the beginning. If you could hurry your promotion several things would happen. First, you would not be as good as you would have been if you just wait and let it happen. Second, you fool yourself and cheat yourself out of getting the most out of your training by focusing on your belt rank rather than what is important, your progress and ability to use what you have learned. When I get a student that shows me that they are thinking about getting promoted rather than just training 'and improving, I have a talk with them and explain what I just told you. If they don;t change their attitude I will eventually ask them to leave. Why, because their thinking about getting promoted is also being disrespectful to me. It is like saying I think I should be promoted. Anytime a student thinks he knows better than his instructor what he should be and do he should leave. No student should ever think he knows better than his instructor. When this happens his mind closes and he can not be taught anything.

Work Hard. That is the only way to get a black belt in Karate. There is no easy way. :)

Good luck.

what's the hurry? MA is a lifelong thing. Black belt bestows neither knowledge, nor wisdom, nor skill, nor protection, nor.... come to think of it, black belt gives you nothing. I think, then, the value is in the training for black belt, not the belt itself.

Ironically, the more highly prized the thing becomes, the more worthless it is once possessed.

How about, instead of focusing on earning a strip of fabric, you work on the quality of you ability in martial arts. Black belt isn't everything.

A while back they used to sale black belts in magazines.... buy one

Work Hard

Buy one at the store
