Everyone knows that Beijing blows it out of the water. This feels like a cut and paste job gone horribly wrong...the Mr Bean and the sitcom clips from their TV shows just made me turn on the computer.

For the ceremony: 6

As an Olympic opening: 4

If you're watching internationally (say a person in China, Brazil, India, etc), I can only imagine that references to Mr. Bean, sitcoms, Mary Poppins, and 70's dance moves would be very confusing.

London:8 & 1/2

Bejing: 9

Both amazing openings, but in different ways!

It's difficult to compare, because you can't...beijing was about control, dominance, marxism...and it look ed good but it also cheated in it's desperation.

London was more comfortable, tried to embrace people, show a little humour and history.beijing 8/10 London 7/10...london failed ot have a real..FINISH, the idea was great with the flame but it needed a real ending, unlike beijing which did a wonderful end with the runner.

7.5/10, which in my opinion is really good. Aesthetically, I'd put Beijing at 8.5/10, but the human cost involved in that Olympic and the amount of civilians displaced, etc make the overall 2008 Olymipc a 4/10 for me...

8/10... i really enjoyed it. It was a little slow to start off with, but i loved it after the Industrial revolution part. Not to be funny, but it was showing our history and culture. If you don't like that, then tough sh*t.

It wasn't bad, but it was nothing on 2008

-10, absolutely god awful so much for trying to upstage the chinese there was a cat chasing a frog outside my window which i found to be far more entertaining.
