China wins a ton of medals in diving, gymnastics, and some other events. I'm wondering how their beating the USA cause the US dominates in swimming and are pretty good in track and field and that's the majority of medals.
it's because you live in the worlds most arrogant country who are in love with themselves... your tv coverage probably only shows anything to do with the USA.
China also finished on top of the beijing medals table. what do you expect from a country that size? 1 in 5 people on this planet are chinese. much bigger talent pool than the rest of the world. easier to find talent for them. same as USA, because they are also a huge country population wise.
Because they train from they age of 4 and 5 till 5, for 4 days a week! and they are chosen from being young and they have to do their chosen sport as their parents make them! that is why they are always at the top of the leader board in the Olympics!

The olympics are very important in China right now. The government takes kids from homes to train them their whole lives. They also have a population of over 1 billion and specialize in a lot of the little events. they cover almost everything, but are really good in skill sports such as Badminton, Diving, and Ping Pong. They are currently leading in gold medals, but the U.S. is ahead in total medals. They are usually in contention for many medals.

Well they have so many people competing, and they also train very rigorously.
I mean I was looking at the leaderboards and it shows China is in the top 3. I haven't been watching the Olympics all day but I haven't seen China winning much less in alot of games yet apparently they are in the top 3. Why and how?
because they have the 2nd most medals and won or gotten in the top 3 the most of any country... thats usually how it works.
idk but usa is num 1 again by a few medals so yay
