I think what cheerleaders do is amazing, I want to be a cheerleader too. I'm fifteen and in high school, I don't really have an ulterior motive, sure it's nice to look at the girls, but would I be allowed to do it, and if so would I need to be flexible or would I just be a base?

Definitely. I love guy cheerleaders. I wouldn't suggest high school cheer though, I'd suggest doing all-star. It's much more fun, and you learn a lot of cool skills. I'm pretty sure that they would let you do it for high school, but for all-star you'd need to be on a coed team. You wouldn't need to be flexible, you would probably base or backspot.

Of course you can! There are guy cheerleaders! You don't have to be flexible if you're a guy. You'll probably be a base. But if you're doing competitive cheer, you might have to have a little flexibility, but it depends on the squad.

Yes you can make the team! Boys have a better shot than girls at making it if you want to know the truth. Guys do not have to be flexible at all, the girls will be in the air pulling body positions and such. You need to be strong though. I know at my school the guys have to stunt with the girls to make sure that they can handle it. You'd be a back spot unless there are more guys, which in that case you would occasionally base.
