I'm sorry but it's not possible to make it to the olympics. By 13, olympic gymnasts are already in elite level. WhenMcKayla Maroney was 13, she first did an Amanar vault (roundoff back handspring on vault table with 2 and 1/2 twists.) But you are not too late to start competing! My friend was 13 when she first started, and by age 15, she was a level 6! She had a natural talent for it and move up really fast. I'm a gymnast and I highly encourage you join! It's an amazing sport! Just work hard and you should be competing in no time
Sorry but any future Olympic gymnast would be elite level by age 13. Even if you trained 8 hours a day 7 days a week, you're too late. But you could compete in the compulsory levels (4,5 & 6) if you worked hard enough. Those levels are fun, without all the drama and intense competition.
Yeah.. If you have only just started learning a flic-flac at 13, you're not going to the olympics. Ive been doing gym since i was 4 and I train 6 times a week and im never going. Hate to be mean but its the truth.
Lower your standards shoot for the youth Olympics then go from there? Never sell yourself short. They're are gymnast, well one in particular who is over 30 and has played for multiple countries!
I'm 13, and i've dreame of going to the olympics in gymnastics. My coach is just starting to teach me real gymnastics, we've been working in physical training. We've started with a back handspring. If I trained 3 times a week every week, every month, every year, would i still be in time to go to the Olympics? How much time would it take me?
