The loss to parramatta came down to 2 things in my opinion. Firstly a lack of leadership. As soon as NZ went behind, the heads dropped and shoulders slumped, last season Maloney was there to get stuck into them and push them and if he wasn't Lewis Brown was. Now that they've both left the club someone needed to step up and take the lead and I think that Mannering really let them down there. It wasn't until half time that they got a kick up the **** and turned up at the start of the second half, although the same thing happened again as soon as parra scored. The second problem was fitness. All respect to Hayne and Sandow who look in extremely good shape, but the warriors were on their hunches with 20 to go and parra still had fuel in the tank, and boy did it show. The final 20 is where they got absolutely steamrolled by a much fitter side and they will continue to concede a lot of points in the last quarter of the game if this aspect of the Warriors doesn't improve soon.
I was excited but last nights game was horrific! Horrific I tell you! The defense was poor and the halves attack was too predictable. We already miss James Maloney, sure his error rate was high but at least he took risks and took on the line. Godit &Fishiahi need to go. With that being said, don't take anything away from the Eels, they were in form and look like they did in 2009.
I dunno. I thought they'd win.
