NSW will never stop whining if anything goes against them even if it was the right decision. It was a good game overall, hopefully it'll be the same for next game. Merritt may not get selected for next game probably as Hayne would be back. Bird wants an apology, even though he may deserve it, a better man wouldn't make it a big deal out of it because the match was lost already and wouldn't have any difference if he stayed in.
And the funny thing is that had the refs backed up on their tough talk, Gallen would have been penalised for not getting off and there never would have been any punch thrown in the first place.
It wasn't bad but the referees lost5 it with the sin binnings. Merrin should have been the only one to go. It was a big blow to the Blues. It was always going to be hard at Lang Park but the Maroons seemed to cruise over the Blues. Some bodgy referee decisions kept the Blues in the game with some terrible knock on decisions.
