I'm a fifteen year old girl and, unlike other girls in my grade, actually like sport. I do out of school sports and it's a lot of fun. The guys let me join in and all that. But, when it comes to school and PE the boys in my class won't let me play. An example of this would be today, in third and fourth period we had PE and were playing a game of footy (AFL). Mr Kelly, out teacher, split the girls from the guys. I asked to go onto he guys team because I knew the girls wouldn't play and he just told me that I couldn't because they'd be to rough. I play football all the time with my cousins and we full on tackle each other to the ground so I'm pretty sure I could handle it. I'm sick of not being able to play and having to kick a ball around by myself. How can I make them let me play? They won't even give me a chance.I'm a fifteen year old girl and, unlike other girls in my grade, actually like sport. I do out of school sports and it's a lot of fun. I think that is kinda sexist of your gym teacher, however you have to accept that you could get hurt playing with boys. I'm not even sure what to do here, just try to show them how good you are.
