i found the same-thing when i was a kid .... i used to be pretty good , if i do say so myself ... clubs often like to get you as early as possible 5+ years old i think now a days there are football academy's ...which you have to pay to go to( usually held in the summer ) ... often or not these type of events will attractive scouts as it is a kind of a talent bottle neck i can't really think of anything else .... i played for a small club until i was 15 years old ...before that i ate and slept football ... i was associated with about 5 + teams in just one week at times ... representing school , club and town even at higher age levels , as well as my own i had a trail one day for my home town ( basingstoke ) , got accepted no problem .... but choose , booze ,fags , drugs ,girls and raving ...over football .... if your serious it's either one of the other ...no matter what your mates tell you
