No Whay's right, the Bomber's of 2000 were closest team to do so. In the 1929 VFL season Collingwood went through the home and away season undefeated with an 18-0 record. However they lost a semi final to Richmond, but subsequently went on to beat the Tigers in the Grand Final. They finished with a record of 20-1 and were premiers.
