The two incidents shown with Tallis showed the Englishman throwing the first punch and Tallis then cleaning him up. In the second, Ross grabbed Tallis by the jumper and then copped it. Probable over reaction by Tallis in both cases but to blame him for starting them is wrong. The Gallen incidents were Gallen using a swinging arm to hit a player being held by two of his team mates then later punching him when Myles had both arms down. Gutless would be a good description. Other league ex players, hardmen Piggins, Kelly and Ryan both considered Gallen was in the wrong. These players are both from NSW (Kelly being prior to Origin) so no interstate bickering.
