The obvious choice in my honest opinion would have to be triple premiership captain, Brownlow medallist and legend of the AFL Michael Voss. No bias :P
without doubt for me, I would have to agree with Lex. Cameron Ling stands out. after 246 games, the "mayor of Geelong" finally gave it up. even though not a geelong supporter ling is one player I thoroughly enjoyed watching, he was a credit to the game. the only thing that surprises me about Cameron Ling is the fact he was taken so late in the draft. at No. 39
I think one player stands out (red) head &shoulders above the rest .... Cameron Ling ... and his 11 seasons at Geelong all fit inside your 20 years ! ( Pity he never made the 300 club )
I'll go with a bloke who technically still fits the criteria, as he retired in 1995.........Dermot Brereton.....gets forgotten that he still managed to kick 30 odd goals in his last season at Collingwood, 15 games I believe, not a bad effort for the multiple premiership champion.
Have to go with Adam Cooney. He did win a brownlow
Lingy the natural red head but with Bald players and hair dye I don't think we will ever know
