When a ball is being shot at a high speed pace on the ground, there are a couple things you can do to prevent it from going through your legs. 1: You can drop one of your knees down sideways so that if the ball goes through your arms it just hits your leg. (you have probably seen other goalies use this technique, if you are going to use this practice a little first as it is a little awkward first time around) 2) you can use the railroad technique with your arms when you get the ball. The railroad is where you keep your arms together and locked and you let the ball roll up your arms into your chest where you can easily grab it. 3) lastly you could always just drop down on both knees when you catch it (highly not recommended) Here are some other tips that may help you in the tournament. ? Dont be afraid to challenge the other team. If there is a one on one situation go out at them there is a higher chance of them not scoring. ? Have confidence in yourself and don't be intimidated by the other team. ? Make sure you get a good warm-up ? Have fun, after all it is just a game. Good luck at your tournament, I hope I helped!
im a defender (wont help much) but it is to slide or place both hands in between your legs to kinda scope the ball when it comes
