There was a time when the kids used to come around selling them at the footy so you didn't have to get out of your seat. but food is now like beer. if you want it. you have to go &get it. which is not a great thing to do when its quarter time or half time at the footy. because everyone else goes as well. what a dilemma? In the mean time. there is always this hot dog!
The "game" is the contest between 2 teams of players so, in all political correctness, never has it been recorded that one of those players has consumed hot dogs during a game. LOL.
54' Granny!? In all seriousness perhaps the 1970 VFL Grand Final between Carlton and Collingwood. The 121,696 people that went made that game the highest ever attended match of footy. Then again perhaps crowds from that 70's were more meat pie fans. I read in the footy record for the GF this year the exact number of hot dogs that would be provided but I can't think of the number off my head. My best guess would be a Grand Final contested between two non-Victorian teams, so I'll say the 2005 GF (Sydney-West Coast) My logic being, travelling interstate fans are less likely to be able to bring a packed lunch so the hot dogs will be flying off the shelves. P.S. Regarding yesterday's Q I posted. You might not have to look that far to find a game with more eventual senior coaches. Flattery gets you everywhere!
