Kokushikai Judo Camp Mission:
To create an environment for learning judo in a beautiful setting with a friendly atmosphere, the comfort of good food, a clean facility, and taught by renowned instructors who have dedicated their lives to the education and development of the mind, body and spirit. We welcome all ages and levels to challenge themselves in the pursuit of excellence year after year.

2011 Camp Updates:

How to contact us or a participant at Kokushikai Judo Camp during our Camp:

1. E-mail camp@kokushikai.com and let us know how we can help you.

2. Call our Camp office at 201-420-4448. 
    We will be receiving messages while at Camp and will return your
    call as soon as possible.

3. In an emergency, call the Camp landline in Pennsylvania at 570-798-2511. 
    Ask for Celita or Josh.




Bus Schedule for confirmed/paid bus passengers. 
(if you want to ride the bus, please make arrangements through our office 201-420-4448)
Buses leave promptly. 
Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of departure times to load bags and passengers.

Kokushikai Judo Camp is just 2 weeks away and we are prepared for two great weeks of Camp!  Please be sure that your Welcome Package forms are returned to us before arriving to Camp.

Registration is still open by e-mail, fax, or telephone.  Please call our office at 201-420-4448 for assistance.  (Act now for private rooms, only a few left)

For campers flying in....If you have not done so already, please provide your itinerary so that we can coordinate your pick-up upon arrival.

For campers taking the KJA bus....pick-up and drop-off locations will be the same as previous years:  Wallington, NJ and 106th and Riverside in Manhattan.  Exact times will be posted very soon.

We now offer 2 Sessions of Kokushikai Judo Camp! 
Attend both Sessions and a discount rate will apply.

* Special rates apply for 2009 campers that have attended years consecutively.  Call or e-mail Celita Schutz to confirm rates.

Session I attendees staying on for Session II will have accommodations and meals on August 21.

Core group of Instructors are returning for both sessions along with Japanese Olympian and World Champion, Yashuhiko Morwaki as special guest instructor coming from Kokushikan University, Japan.

Campground Facilities

Camp Kokushikai occurs on the grounds of Camp Wayne for Boys and is situated on over 400 acres with two private lakes.  It is located in the northeast corner of Pennsylvania approximately 2 ½ hours from New York City and Philadelphia.

Transportation

We offer round trip Bus Service from the NYC/NJ area with departure to Camp on the mornings of August 15th and August 22nd with return service in the afternoon of August 20th and August 27th. Seat reservations must be made before July 15th to secure a seat and can be made on the Camp Application. Final time table for bus schedule will be posted at www.kokushikai.com closer to Camp.

Individuals arriving by plane can book their destination to Newark (EWR) airport in NJ with arrival on Sunday, August 14th or on Sunday, August 21st. Departure should be scheduled on Saturday, August 21st or August 27th. Please allow 3 hours of driving time from airport to Camp when scheduling flights. Please provide flight itineraries to Kokushikai if you would like assistance with your transport to and from the Camp.  Contact Kokushikai Registration Coordinator, Mary Beirle for assistance at mary@kokushikai.com or 201-420-4448.

Novaro Youth Scholarships
Youth between the ages of 9-22 may apply for full tuition to Kokushikai Judo Camp
through the Novaro Youth Scholarship Fund. 6 one-week spots and 4 two-week spots
are available.  Applications must be received by July 1, 2011 to process funding.

Family Discounts
Judo can be a rewarding family sport. In order to facilitate this, we offer the following
discounts:
10% discount for the second family member
25% discount for the third family member
50% discount for the fourth family member and beyond

Coach’s Discount
Judo is life-long and learning continues when teaching begins. Enjoy the friendly
environment with 10 or more of your students and your camp fee will be waived.
Make sure that your students indicate your club and your name as instructor so
that you receive credit.
